The Aker FlatSider™ XR14 Straight Draw Holster is a classic outside-the-waistband leather holster designed for shooters who prefer a vertical draw style with reliable retention and smooth access. Using Aker’s signature molding process, the XR14 is formed in fine leather so that 100% of the holster pocket sits away from the body, making it comfortable to wear and easy to conceal on everyday belts.
At either side of the holster pocket are curved belt slots that provide stability on the belt for secure carry and improved concealment. A thumb break retention strap backed by an adjustable tension screw gives dependable security while still allowing a quick, natural draw. The tension screw also serves as a trigger guard stop to help control draw resistance.
Inside the holster is a full-length molded sight channel, and the dual-plane muzzle design accommodates both standard and shortened barrels. The XR14’s vertical, quick-draw orientation is ideal for those who prefer a straight-up release rather than a forward cant. This model also accommodates many red dot optics, including the Trijicon RMR, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Holosun 507c, and Sig Sauer ROMEO.
Firearm Compatibility Notes
The XR14 Straight Draw Holster is designed around a vertical draw and thumb break retention system. As a result, compatibility is limited to firearms whose size, balance, and slide geometry work properly with this design.
Very small pistols and oversized frames may not provide consistent retention or draw performance and are therefore not supported. This model favors mid-size and duty-style pistols, including many optic-ready configurations. Select the option that most closely matches your firearm’s model family and overall size.
